FAQS

Questions and curiosities about FIBROGRAF®

  • 1. What are the advantages of these metal panels compared to other roofing types?

    - Durability and resistance: Extremely resistant to weather, UV rays, and corrosion - Lightweight: They do not overload the roof structure - Easy installation: Much quicker than other solutions - Versatility: Suitable for sloped roofs in both residential and industrial contexts, provided the pitch is at least 9° - Minimal maintenance: Require less upkeep compared to other materials

  • 2. What thickness and materials are available for these metal panels?

This metal panels come in 0,5 mm thickness, made of coated steel sheet. The coating is durable and long-lasting thanks to its 35 microns thickness, with RC4 and RUV4 corrosion and UV resistance ratings, ensuring excellent protection from sunlight.

  • 3. Are these metal panels suitable for all types of roofs?

Yes, they are highly versatile and can be used on all types of roofing (minimum slope 9° - approx. 14%).

  • 4. How are the metal panels fixed during installation?

These metal panels are fixed using the pre-perforated band, with self-tapping screws when they are installed on a wooden substrate (such as OSB or decking), or with self-drilling screws when they are installed on an insulating and waterproof panel (like FibroTek Flat from Fibrotubi). The type of screw suited to the substrate is provided with the panels.

  • 5.Should the existing structure be prepared before installing FIBROGRAF® metal panels?

Proper preparation of the roof is essential. It is recommended to check the regularity and flatness of the surface to ensure an effective installation.

  • 6. What type of substrate is recommended?

For a proper installation of the FIBROGRAF® modular panel, it is advised to use a continuous substrate such as wooden battens or OSB panels, followed by a triple-function membrane: waterproof, ventilating, and sound-insulating (for example, Delta Tre by Fibrotubi). This ensures good mechanical resistance as well as a watertight and dry system.

  • 7. How long does it take to install a roof using these metal panels?

Installation is considered very fast compared to other solutions on the market. FIBROGRAF®'s technical features, carefully engineered, allow for fast and effective interlocking installation, ensuring excellent waterproofing.

  • 8. What is the weight of the FIBROGRAF® metal panel?

The FIBROGRAF® modular metal panel weighs 4,80 kg/m².

  • 9. How many FIBROGRAF® panels are in a pallet?

Each pallet contains 32 FIBROGRAF® panels. Between each panel, there is a spacer to ensure ventilation during storage. Additionally, the pallet is reinforced with a wooden frame to protect the product during transport.

  • 10. Is a FIBROGRAF® roof noisier than other roof types?

Compared to traditional solutions like fiber cement or classic tiles, FIBROGRAF® roofing only differs by 2 to 4 dBA—practically imperceptible to human ear.
